Become a Coach

Become a Catch-A-Balls coachBeing a Catch-a-balls coach is rewarding and fun. It’s great being active and inspiring children to get involved in sport.

We are on the lookout for new coaches.  Training would be done during the first half of the Summer term. You don’t have to have a sporting qualification but an interest in physical activity, basic ball skills and enjoyment of working with children are essential.

Roz who teaches Thames Ditton and Surbiton classes says:  “I aim to make my classes  fun packed with lots of laughter, children are never made to feel they cannot achieve & always receive plenty of praise throughout each class.

“I believe that introducing children to world of sport & healthy living at a young age is the first step towards them seeing sport as fun & part of a healthy lifestyle, not just something they are made to do at school.

“I can see that ‘Catch-a-Balls develops so many essential skills for young children, for example, their motor skills, social skills, ability to listen to instructions & experience both success & failure all in a comfortable & fun environment.”

The work tends to be part-time, but we are always hoping to open new venues so you can build your working week up. Our classes are term time, however, we do run holiday classes and parties at the weekend, but it is entirely up to you if you want to take this extra work on.

Currently we are really looking for people in the Richmond, Twickenham area to take on established classes. We would also like to open venues in Molesey, Walton on Thames and Weybridge.

We will provide the training, lesson plans and kit, all you need to provide is the energy and enthusiasm.IMG_1878

You will need a driver’s license, a car and a current first aid certificate. We will need to do a full DBS check.

If this sounds interesting to you please call us on 020 8398 3034 or send us an e-mail

Current vacancies

We are looking for a coach to work in Richmond, Kew and Hampton.  The job is 3 mornings a week, currently 2 sessions per morning.  We hold our Richmond classes at The Vineyard Church on Tuesdays.  There is a Club BOING and Club BOUNCE class, but we are under pressure to add another session, so hopefully with the right person this morning will extend.  We are at North Sheen Park on Wednesday mornings.  This is a new venue for us so it consists of just 2 sessions.  It is a great location so looking for someone willing to build the current classes.  Finally there is a class on Friday mornings in Hampton Baptist Church.  This is well established and is 2 sessions.

Pay starts at £12.50 per hour depending on experience.  There are bonuses for full classes at the end of each term.  On the job training will be provided.

You will need a car to carry the kit and get between venues.  We have interest from other venues and nurseries so there should be possibility of further work.
